Our fibre mill in Alberta processes different weights of yarn with various blends that will delight you. The wool added to our mohair comes from an Albertan breeding of Dorset crossbreed Charolais sheep. The fibre mill provides us with the nylon we need
We named this yarn Prairie Crocus ( Manitoba Provincial Flower) : This tiny flower is one of the first to bloom in spring.
Surprisingly strong in spite of its delicate appearance, it presses up through frozen soil to give a bright promise of the warmth to come, bravely budding and blossoming in the midst of the last of winter's snow.
This yarn is soft to the touch but with its blend of fibres will prove as hardy and strong as the Prairie Crocus!

This fantastic sock yarn is a blend of our young adult mohair with fine wool and nylon to add strength. This yarn has a slight halo and is likely to bloom a little after washing.
Prairie Crocus is ideal for making divinely warm and comfortable socks but will also work into lovely garments with lacy patterns.
